Custody and Access of Children

Law for Women places children’s best interests as first priority in a divorce.

At Law for Women, we believe that parents divorce each other; they do not divorce their children. It is unfair to use children as ‘weapons’ against one another.

Mediator Trixi Neethling is academically and emotionally experienced in her role, having had first hand experience of trauma experienced during a hostile divorce before mediation became a legal option.

A Parenting Plan can be mediated offering structure for parents to stay close to their children regardless of the split.

Whether divorcing by litigation or mediation, remember it is imperative to attend to changing your will; Law for Women, advises clients to draw up a new will or change the existing will. If this is not done within three months’, your estate will automatically go to your ex spouse, unless originally otherwise specified.
